    This recipe makes 2 large loaves , or 3 smaller loaves. Make sure you line the bottom of the baking tin with parchment paper so the bottom doesn't fall out of your loaf. You can substitute cider for the water. And you can use all butter, all shortening, or a combination. Canned pumpkin may be used, or home cooked, strained pumpkin or winter squash.
